It is a challenge for me and when I get a particular pattern right, I am overjoyed. Most of the time I get remnants from fabric stores
and make clothes out of them. I am always
constructing, drafting,
and altering my next creation, which is usually
a dress, pencil case or a tote bag or quilt. You name
a dress, pencil case or a tote bag or quilt. You name
and I have tried it all. I love to make things and give
them as gifts rather than buying something from
the store. I know everyone loves a handmade gift.

One of my favorite times of the day is
dawn. There's something magical about that time
of the day.I call it the Golden Hour.
Mostly, that's the time I bring my dogs for a walk.
It has such a calming effect on me.

I am new to Blogging and this is my first attempt. I need some support from my Friends and Family. Sometimes I do get new ideas and would love to share it with my fellow crafters out there.
Honestly, when I first started visiting
India, four years ago, my main idea or
thoughts were to make lots of money and start my
own business selling Sarees and

jewelery. But after a couple of visits there, I realized that I
have changed my thought process. During my last couple of visits to Chennai India, I just had a dying need to
help the poor and needy. I was lucky to befriend a beautiful
young lady who was teaching in one of the government schools for the underprivileged. Though she
had a wonderful career in the corporate world, she had
chosen to teach underprivileged kids and that motivated me.
It was truly inspiring to see a young girl who has such a big
heart to give back to the poor. I was very proud of her and
after visiting them in the school, I realized how lucky and
privileged we are and felt that it was time for me to give back
to the society what GOD has given me.
I am just currently hooked on making lots of bags and pencil
cases for the kids in that school. When I donated these bags
and pencil cases to these kids, the last time I was there, they were so happy and they were jumping
with joy just to receive these pencil cases and bags that I

I had bought, which cost me close to nothing.

happy helping these kids and it has brought so much of
